Yacht Buying Guidance
The first thing we’ll need to do is clarify and understand exactly what you’re looking for.
Together, we’ll define clear selection criteria—things like budget, size, layout, sailing performance, preferred cruising areas, materials, and overall style. These form your personal list of requirements and preferences.
Your future yacht should meet all the key requirements. If it also ticks some of the “nice-to-haves,” all the better.
Based on this, we prepare a tailored shortlist of suitable yachts. We’ll review this list with you and, if you like, we can go through an online selection of yachts for sale that have caught your attention. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of each option, including build quality, maintenance history, and how well they match your intended sailing plans.
Once you find a yacht that feels right both practically and emotionally, we guide you through every step that follows—from arranging a professional survey to handling the purchase process and even importing a yacht from abroad if needed.
Because every search is unique, we work on an hourly basis. Our rate is €79 per hour with a minimum of three hours.
If you prefer, we can also agree on a fixed project fee in advance.
All prices include VAT but are exclusive of any travel costs.
If travel is involved, then reasonable and customary travel and living charges are passed along without markup.
Pre-purchase Yacht Survey
We take the time needed to do things properly. A full pre-purchase yacht survey takes about six to eight hours at least. Our rates are:
- LOA up to 35 ft.: €697
- LOA 35 – 40 ft.: €897
- LOA 40 – 45 ft.: €997
- LOA 45 – 53 ft.: €1197
For larger yachts, pricing is available on request.
If you prefer a more limited check, we also offer partial inspections or “first impression” assessments. These are billed at €79 per hour with a minimum of three hours.
For yachts further away, we can also do a (somewhat limited but still very valuable) remote survey, much like was done when Covid made travel impossible. For details and pricing, please contact us.
Travel costs within the Netherlands: €0.49 per kilometer, calculated from Steenbergen.
If international travel is involved, then reasonable and customary travel and living charges are passed along without markup.
All prices are including VAT.
Maintenance Help & Support
On Site / Aboard your boat
Maintenance Help & Support can be on location, with hands-on help on your boat with specific mechanical problems, diagnosing issues or doing repairs / maintenance work.
This will be billed at €79 per hour with a minimum of three hours.
Remote consulting
We can also work with you remotely, using video calls, email etc.
This will be billed at €59 per hour with a minimum of two hours and may include research time as needed.
Liveaboard Guidance
Because every request for Liveaboard Guidance is unique and depending heavily on personal circumstances, we work on an hourly basis.
Liveaboard Guidance can be done in person, with you traveling to us or the other way around.
It can also very easily be done remotely, usually over video calls or in Google Meets.
Our rate for Liveaboard Guidance is €65 per hour with a minimum of three hours.
All prices include VAT but are exclusive of any travel costs.

Custom Service Package
If you want to combine services or maybe only need certain parts of certain services we offer, we’ll happily look at your wants and needs and offer you a price on a custom service package just for you. Simply contact us and we’ll discuss your needs during the free consult and take it from there.
